I was really excited to interview Mike Monday because I really enjoy his album “Songs Without Words” and watched the animated music video for “Catnip” like 10 times. His style is a bit different than most of the other electronic producers I seek out. His music is thoughtful and interesting, deep but fun and playful at the same time, and thats exactly how Mike’s personality is: intelligent and a bit silly too. I always learn something from the producers I interview, and if there is one common theme that keeps coming up from successful artists, it’s to “be yourself,” and Mike is an inspiring example of that :)
